Eliza Lynn: vocal Joe Mohar: rhythm tap

I was taking tap dancing classes that Joe Mohar was teaching when I started writing this song, and it grew into it's own little dance piece.  Unfortunately, I haven't kept up my tapping, but I still do some of these steps when I sing this... I love what Joe did with it!

Lyrics

You go round corners
Raccoon and possum
Leaves jump out in front
Like they don’t know where they’re from

There’s sugar on the hillside
Red, gold and green
Maple laughing down
On all the rest it seems

Green like light
Comes in and bites my tongue
I don’t know where it’s from
Green like light
Comes in and bites my tongue
I don’t know where it’s from

I could’ve gone left
But I went right
And who’s to say they’re hollering
Ain’t nothing but lies

So mop em up and sit down
Loose coins clapping
Harbor whistle tells em when it’s time to come in.
