Welcome

Hello and welcome to my little haven here…

SEPTEMBER 2026 - 5 days to go! Studio photos and a prayer for a friend

We are preparing for our final 5 days in the studio with our very last overdubs, editing and mixing these songs of God's tremendous love. It is a special and poignant time, and it is thanks to the generosity of everyone who has contributed to this project and pre-ordered albums. Thank you SO much! If you haven't yet pre-ordered, please do so here.

Upcoming Gigs

A big gig approaches: Friday, October 23rd at 6:30pm at the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Greenville, SC. It is a true honor to be included in the Fine Arts offerings at First Pres - such a great Art & Faith Community. My dear friend and songwriting buddy, Chelsea Fraser, will be our special guest. Chelsea brings her faith into being so palpably through her poems and songs. We would LOVE your support at this show.

Studio Joy!

We had a wonderful August in the studio and these songs are joyously full of marvelous musicians and singers including Whitney Moore Roda (harmony vocals), Jane Kramer (harmony vocals), Chris Rosser (piano and wurlitzer), Mike Rhodes (drums) and fiddler and guitarist Josh Goforth. What a tremendous gift to our recording it is to have these amazing friends offer their musical talents to this album!

Nineteen years ago, when Mike Alexander and our band was recording The Weary Wake Up, we played with Mike Rhodes for the first time. It was such a pleasure to hear Mike's playing again and he brought such signature rhythm to these tracks. He really got the heart of this project. He said, “These are love songs to Jesus.” Amen! Absolutely.

The incredible vocal talents of Whitney Moore Roda and Jane Kramer have added such depth, presence and uplift to these tracks! And so much fun and camaraderie:

And Chris Rosser continues to astound us as our album midwife, engineer and musician whose Wurlitzer playing on Warmth of Your Love totally knocks me out. What a gift and privilege to create with all these remarkable beings!

Music Ministry - A Concert at St. James

On August 23rd, Mike and I performed at my church, St. James Episcopal. We felt showered with love and support for our Gospel Album! We are SO grateful to everyone who came, donated, pre-ordered albums and appreciated what we are doing with these songs. They are a ministry - an invitation to deepen your walk with God. I really felt that this concert was a coming into being for my music ministry and such a magnificent experience for me and Mike! Photographer and videographer Preston Bailey captured the essence of the evening:

Click here to watch Tunnel of Trials - a prayer for a friend

The song linked above, Tunnel of Trials, was written for a friend at the beginning of my theology school experience. She was dealing with so many issues at once. Sometimes we are in a dark tunnel and the trials keep coming. But we are held in God's love and Jesus is there with us. Jesus suffers with us and gives us strength to continue. We are not alone. I hope this song can be of use to those of you who are dealing with your own tunnel of trials or as a way to pray for a friend who is in that dark and overwhelming time. Jesus is the warmth in the tunnel, who speaks to us in soft and subtle ways deep in our being. That is my experience, being held and capable of doing the next thing even when my world felt shattered and I could barely stand.

That's what this Gospel Album is all about - God's love with us each day. We have five more days in the studio to put the finishing touches on each of these songs. Then the album is off to be mastered and designed and into your hands in early December. Thank you for walking with us on this journey of faith and art. I am so very grateful for you!

With love and blessings,

Eliza
